Thank you for visiting my website. I teach piano lessons. But what does that mean?

Piano lessons are more than:

...learning to read music notes.

...depressing the correct keys.

...developing physical abilities in order to perform with dazzling virtuosity.

...understanding how to take apart and put together music (i.e., music theory).

...disciplined training of the fingers, hands, wrists, forearms, and shoulders.

...exercises and finger drills.

...performing for friends, neighbors, festivals and competitions.

...expanding neural pathways in the brain.

...appreciating music from different eras.

Learning to play the piano most certainly involves all these things. But most importantly, taking piano lessons results in expressing the depths of our soul through meaningful and beautiful sounds.
